01. Project
UX UI Design
Oise habitat is a social landlord, managing over 13,000 housing units in the oise département.
Their aim is to support and house as many people as possible at the lowest possible cost.
As part of a call for tenders, the agency in charge of Oise habitat’s communications asked me to come up with a new, more modern and impactful design.
Objectives
Once the project had been won, the aim was to create a new site that respected current web standards, accessibility constraints and made it easier for thousands of people to access their personal information.
Restrictions
Take into account the different personae and their potential difficulties in using the Internet. Elderly people, people with disabilities, people with limited knowledge of digital tools…
02. Process
We had to hold several meetings with Oise Habitat and several workshops with future users to fully understand their needs and issues.
After accurately identifying their expectations, I was able to work with the tech team on a site accessible to all. To achieve this, we used bright, contrasting colors, defined clear, highly visible action zones, and simple, easy-to-read typography.
The result is a modern, colorful site that’s easy for anyone to use.
Workshops & interviews
The first step was to understand the expectations of users. For this, I realized various co-design workshops + UX interviews with several volunteers.
Design System
Then, I worked on the design system to define what colors, what typographic hierarchy would be used and how to make the calls to action stand out.
Responsive
In order to maintain accessible to all, the site had to be adapted to all devices, while guaranteeing the same high level of quality.
03. Results
After a few months’ work, we were able to release an optimized version of the Oise Habitat website.
Accessible to the widest possible audience, visually modern and much easier to use.
In addition to satisfying the customer, negative feedback dropped by 50%, while traffic on the site increased by 70%.
